                              Do you want to soar to new heights? The Canadian Aviation institute at Georgian has been a national center of aviation management since 1986.  This unique 3 year advanced diploma  Co-op program is designed to give students knowledge and hands-on experience in Aviation and Management as well as provide co-operative work experience in the Aviation industry.     A blend of aviation, operations, business and management courses provide students with a solid understanding of the aviation industry in Canada and around the world. Management courses are designed to give students an understanding of management practices and procedures in order to be prepared for future promotional opportunities.

                              Co-op Placement

                              Through coop placement, students apply academic concepts to real life situations, obtaining the equivalent of one year of practical work experience while securing important personal contacts with in the aviation industry.

                              Career Opportunities

                              Graduates of the program obtain employment in general aviation and aviation operations positions where they may use their knowledge and skills to progress to more advanced positions. Graduates of the program are employed in a wide variety of aviation fields such as Airline Management, Flight Dispatch, Piloting, Airport Management, Airport Planning and Government Aviation agencies.

                              Articulation Agreements

                              A number of articulation agreements have been negotiated with universities and other institutions across Canada, North America and internationally. Graduates of the Aviation Management program can turn their diploma into a Bachelor of Science in Technical Management degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, without ever leaving Georgian’s Barrie campus. Other articulation agreements at an undergraduate and Master’s level are also available for graduates to study in Australia, England and Canada.
